Newport's first appearance on the serviced apartment map

Saxbury is delighted to have secured a serviced apartment operator lease with Quay Apartments at Clarence House, which is set to be Newport’s first official serviced apartment property.

Newport currently receives good interest from international business travellers, and with the opening of the International Convention Centre scheduled for July 2019, visitor numbers are expected to dramatically increase, spiking demand for both transient and extended stay accommodation.

Tariq Sohaib, Co-Founder of Quay Apartments commented, “Our vision is to provide our guests with an impeccable service in areas where extended stay accommodation is limited, we felt that Newport suited this perfectly. We aim to expand our brand across the UK and are currently looking further potential locations. For the time being, our focus will be to bring our usual 5-star service to Newport.”

Vivek Chadha, Saxbury’s client and Director of Nine Hotels Group, commented: “I am delighted for this exciting signing of the first professional serviced apartments in Newport. Newport has undergone a massive transformation over the last few years, credit to the forward-thinking council and incredible transport links for business and conference facilities that Newport benefits from. Working with Saxbury and Ben Davis has been great due to their understanding of the industry which has made the operator selection a lot easier. We look forward to this new relationship with Quay Apartments as we look to expand our serviced apartment offering around the country through lease agreements for now.”
