Following the successful launch of their first apart-hotel in Hammersmith, Room 2 is to open their second property on Queens Terrace in Southampton.
Room 2, an ASAP accredited company, was founded on the basis of a brand new ‘hometel’ apart-hotel concept, which aims to provide the facilities of traditional hotels within the comfort of a home-like environment and community.
Robert Godwin, Founder and MD of Room 2 comments: "We're looking to fill a huge gap in the market where people want a much more flexible approach to staying away and not losing the good routines they enjoy at home".
Saxbury’s Director, Ben Davis, has known Robert for over five years and was delighted to be a part of this process by helping him acquire the Southampton site in 2016, which was then an office block, and later developed as Southampton’s first apart-hotel by Robert’s professional team.
This increasingly popular home-from-home concept that encapsulates the serviced apartment sector, could be one of the contributing factors to the industry’s success and record-breaking growth (there are now over 1m serviced apartments worldwide). Guests are more demanding than ever before and operators are having to work hard to satisfy these demands, but Room 2 seem to have got it right first, and now second time.
Saxbury invites operators to contact the team for support with expanding their portfolio and to find out about our current leasing opportunities.
