A collection of 12 serviced apartments set within a bow-fronted Victorian terrace in London’s Bayswater. Saxbury paired these elegant heritage units with the ideal custodian and advised on a renovation project
Caught between the gated gardens of Prince’s Square and Leinster Square, these period apartments enjoy an excellent location but were in poor condition. Saxbury was contacted by the landlord’s agent after the existing operating company went into liquidation. Specialists in these types of premises, Saxbury had already been approached by the prospective tenant – which has solid experience of the luxury market – and acted on their behalf.
Saxbury negotiated extensively for the tenant and advised on a simple, necessary refurbishment in order to appeal to the target market. Legal matters were brought to a close within six weeks. Following a short period of refurbishment, the tenant began operating the collection of 12 fully-equipped, air-conditioned studio apartments. These modernised units feature king-sized beds and kitchenettes as well as fitted wardrobes and fully-tiled bathrooms.
The apartments also benefit from an enviable location a stone’s throw from the restaurants and boutiques of Westbourne Grove and Notting Hill beyond. In the other direction, vibrant Bayswater offers a mix of family-owned businesses and high-end brands in addition to demand drivers and developments such as the £1.5bn Whiteley regeneration project.
